Sethmar Transportation is a freight broker headquartered in Overland Park, Kansas. Founded in 2017, it has four locations, 90 employees, and an annual revenue of $110 million.
Challenge
Many freight brokers experience fraud and theft, and Sethmar Transportation was no exception.
In fact, CargoNet reported that $44 million worth of cargo in the U.S. and Canada was stolen from carriers in the second quarter of 2023, a 57% increase over the same period in 2022.
To vet carriers, Sethmar Transportation used a couple of platforms but found that switching between them wasn’t efficient. The company also used a third platform to onboard carriers. While the solution once served them well, Sethmar had outgrown it.
